Chipletics, Inc. is a Redmond-based startup, dedicated to building photonically-linked neuromorphic cloud chiplets for rack-scale LLM inference and in-context learning, offering 1000x less energy consumption, 100x less latency and 10x less cost than the state-of-art GPUs. Chipletics’ ultra-low-energy/latency solution is based on three fundamental technology breakthroughs: 1) ultra dense wavelength division multiplexing (UDWDM) photonic computing utilizing near-zero-energy near-zero-latency light propagation, a DARPA technology; 2) third-generation brain-inspired high-performance neuromorphic computing architecture, and 3) advanced wafer-scale photonic/electronic chiplet co-packaging.
Previously, the Chipletics team have tapped out successfully a billion-transistor space satellite communication digital signal processing chiplet in Intel’s 3nm process for DARPA SPACE BACN program and a Terabit pico-Jouel per bit electronic integrated circuit chiplet in GF’s 12nm FinFET process for datacenter die-to-die photonic links.
